How is everyone doing? It’s been a really long time since I last posted something here…
I just got back from Hong Kong… That’s the main reason why I’m so genki !!

Anyways, I haven’t been really updated with the J-pop world mainly because my cable provider introduced an addictive new channel to my world…. KBS WORLD! I’ve been feeding myself with so much k-pop that I feel so outdated with what’s going on in the j-pop world…

Over the weekends, I was updating myself and I found some really great songs that I thought I could introduce to you…

Well, here are some of them that are really worth listening to~~

1) Arashi - One Love

It’s a really great song! Quite long intro that reminds me of UK & Scotland cuz of the bagpipes… Hehe… I find this song better than their previous single, Step & Go… However, I prefer Ohno’s voice in Step & Go…

2) Arashi - How to Fly
This is the second track inside their latest single… It sounds similar to One Love with a more Spanish touch… Spanish or Latin? Hehe… Something like Taiyou no Namida from NewS…

3) ayaka – Okaeri

She never fails to impress me with her amazing voice… What’s amazing is that she’s the same age as me… One talented singer who sang with Kobukuro to produce the hit song, Winding Road… It was a great combination… Okaeri means welcome home… It is the short form of okaerinasai…

4) FT Island – soyogi

You’ve probably never heard of this band before… Here’s a little intro about them… This band (FT stands for Five treasure) is made up of 5 Korean boys between the age of 16-18… Choi Jong-hun (leader, guitar), Lee Hong-ki (lead vocals), Oh Won Bin (Vocal, rap, guitar, harmonica), Lee Jae-jin (Bass) & Choi Min-hwan (drums)… Why am I introducing a korean band in a j-pop website? Well, they had recently released a mini-album in Japanese called Prologue of FT Island… I’ve been following (literally) them and their songs are VERY catchy… Once you listen to it, you just can’t stop… The songs in this album has a different feel when compared to their Korean album… It sounded more JAPANESE… Haha… But seriously, it did sound very Japanese… The main vocalist has a really strong & nice voice! *thumbs up*

5) Tegomass – Ai ai gasa

I’m sad to say that this music intro stuff is quite bias cuz I’m a Johnny’s fan! *gomen gomen*
It’s been 2 years since they last released a single and I’m very happy that they did! AT LAST! This is the first CD (j-pop) that I bought… Ai ai gasa literally translates love love unbrella… How should I put it? Hmmm… In Japan, dating in public was a shameful thing… Last time, not now… So how did they date in public without people actually seeing? So when it’s raining, a boy & a girl will share an umbrella… Something like that… You can always google ai ai gasa up to read the real meaning… Hehe… Tegomass is made up Tegoshi Yuya & Masuda Takashisa of NewS… Among the other NewS members, these two have the best vocals… That’s only in my opinion, though… ^^ So they make a really good duet!

MY holidays are going to be over soon! That’s sooooo quick! Time really flies by so quickly… Before you even know it, it’s graduation and off to work!
